The Power of Nature
David J. O’Neill, President and CEO of Mass Audubon, will share his thoughts on the intrinsic value of nature and will address some of the most pressing conservational issues of our time—including biodiversity loss and climate change. David will share the science that underpins the importance of nature-based climate solutions and real world examples of conservation in action, including large public-private partnerships working to restore the Connecticut River watershed and the creation of micro-forests in neighborhoods like Mattapan. David will highlight Mass Audubon’s work to advance nature-based solutions that benefit short and long-range migrant birds who rely on healthy Massachusetts ecosystems for their survival.
Mass Audubon is New England’s largest conservation organization and the largest private landowner in Massachusetts. For more than 128-years, Mass Audubon has used conservation, education, and advocacy to address our greatest conservation challenges.

Our Mission
We provide support for the design and beautification of parks and green spaces, we encourage civic achievement in horticulture and conservation through grants and awards, we educate the public on horticultural practices and the natural environment, and we advocate for our parks and our environment.
The Blossom Fund
In 1997 we formed The Blossom Fund that provides “seed” monies to assist in launching projects of horticultural impact within Boston. Our belief is that a healthy urban population and vibrant economic hub will benefit all.
