The purpose of The Garden Club of America is to stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening, to share the advantages of association by means of educational meetings, conferences, correspondence, and publications, and to restore, improve, and protect the quality of the environment through educational programs and action in the fields of conservation and civic improvement.

The Boston Committee is an area committee of the Garden Club of America.
We are celebrating over 35 years of horticultural initiatives to enhance the City of Boston.
The Boston Committee Endeavors to:
- Educate the general public regarding regional environmental concerns and horticultural practices.
- Assist individuals and organizations in the design and beautification of public parks and grounds, and in the planting of green areas;
- Meet with representatives to exchange views on issues and concerns in the region;
- Encourage civic achievement in the environment and in horticulture by presenting awards for design, restoration of public areas, or for related achievements.

The Blossom Fund
In 1997 we formed The Blossom Fund that provides “seed” monies to assist in launching projects of horticultural impact within Boston. Our belief is that a healthy urban population and vibrant economic hub will benefit all.
