Spring 2025 Meeting report

Tulips from Massachusetts Horticultural Society during the Boston Committee Spring 2025 Meeting

The Boston Committee Spring Lecture and Lunch was held at the Massachusetts Horticultural Society at Elm Bank. We enjoyed blue skies and thousands of tulips which were planted for Mass Hort’s annual spring floral celebration, Tulipmania. Guests enjoyed a tour of the gardens with Executive Director James Hearsum and Program Director Karen Daubman.

The 2025 Boston Bowl for Civic Achievement was awarded to Sarah Freeman in recognition of her decades of grassroots advocacy for the preservation of green space and environmental justice.

In 1997 we formed The Blossom Fund that provides “seed” monies to assist in launching projects of horticultural impact within Boston. Our belief is that a healthy urban population and vibrant economic hub will benefit all.
