Fall 2025 Meeting report
On Wednesday, October 29th, 2025, the Boston Committee met at the Brookline Country Club. Our lecturer was Maryann Thompson of Maryann Thompson Associates, who shared remarks about incorporating nature into the architecture of Boston’s parks.
The Boston Committee presented the Boston Beautification Award to Founder Joe Fallon of The Fallon Company in recognition of the company’s extraordinary commitment to designing, creating, and maintaining exceptional public spaces at Fan Pier Park in Boston’s Seaport district.
Finally, we awarded a $40,000 Blossom Fund Grant to the Esplanade Association for a native tree grove at Charlesbank on the Esplanade.

Our Mission
We provide support for the design and beautification of parks and green spaces, we encourage civic achievement in horticulture and conservation through grants and awards, we educate the public on horticultural practices and the natural environment, and we advocate for our parks and our environment.
The Blossom Fund
In 1997 we formed The Blossom Fund that provides “seed” monies to assist in launching projects of horticultural impact within Boston. Our belief is that a healthy urban population and vibrant economic hub will benefit all.
